Waec withholds 192,000 results over malpractice
The 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results have been officially released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). According to Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of WAEC Nigeria, the results reflect a significant decline in student performance compared to 2024.

*Key Highlights of the 2025 WASSCE Results:*

- *Candidates' Performance*: Only 38.32% of candidates obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, marking a 33.8% decline from the 72.12% recorded in 2024.
- *Overall Performance*: 87.24% of candidates earned credits in five or more subjects, regardless of English and Mathematics.
- *Results Processing*: 77.06% of the results were fully released, while 22.94% are still being processed due to errors and issues related to exam conduct.
- *Examination Malpractice*: 192,089 results, representing 9.75% of total candidates, are being withheld for various offenses.

You can access your result through:
- *WAEC Website*: Visit (link unavailable), enter your exam number, select the examination year (2025), choose your exam type, enter your e-PIN and serial number, and click "Submit".
- *SMS*: Send "WAEC_ExamNumber_PIN*ExamYear" to 32327 (costs ₦30 per SMS).
- *WAEC Mobile App*: Download the app, input your exam number and PIN to view your result.¹ ²
