Trump Warns Iran as US–Israel Offensive Begins: “Disarm or Face the Consequences

Former US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iranian forces after the United States and Israel launched what he described as a large-scale military campaign against Iran.

Speaking during an address, Trump said the operation was designed to stop what he called a dangerous and extremist regime from endangering American interests and global security.

“This is a broad and continuing mission aimed at ensuring that a hostile dictatorship can no longer threaten the United States or our vital national interests,” he said.

The military action follows weeks of heightened tension between Washington and Tehran. During that period, Trump repeatedly urged Iranian leaders to return to negotiations over a revised nuclear agreement, while also criticizing the government’s handling of internal protests earlier in the year.

In the lead-up to the strikes, the US significantly increased its military presence in the Middle East, deploying additional warships and aircraft to the region. The moves signaled readiness for conflict even as behind-the-scenes diplomatic discussions on Iran’s nuclear program were reportedly still ongoing.

Trump outlined an aggressive objective for the campaign, leaving little room for compromise.

“Their missile systems will be destroyed, their naval forces eliminated, and their ability to use proxy groups to spread instability across the region will be ended,” he said.

He maintained that American officials had made multiple attempts to reach a diplomatic solution to limit Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but claimed those efforts were consistently rejected by Tehran.

“This regime will soon understand that testing the power of the United States military comes with severe consequences,” Trump warned.

Acknowledging the dangers of the operation, Trump admitted that US troops could suffer losses as the conflict unfolds.

“War carries a cost. Brave American service members may be injured or killed,” he said, adding that the action was, in his view, essential to securing long-term safety and stability.
